Biblical Stewardship

All of us like to be owners. We like owning our brand-new iPhones and material goods; we love owning our success; we also like owning popularity and recognition. What if there is something better than ownership? God calls it stewardship. What does stewardship mean? Stewardship means that everything we are and have comes from God and that we recognize the temporary nature of everything we enjoy on this earth, the air we breathe, our material goods, our family, the water we drink, everything comes from God.

We have been placed on this earth to steward for the good of humanity and the glory of God everything we have: "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of heavenly lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change." James 1:17 (NIV)

We believe we are stewards of our treasures which are our financial resources. We are also stewards of our temple, our bodies, which are the temple of the Holy Spirit. God has entrusted us with the gift of time. Finally, we have been called to steward our talents or spiritual gifts. "The earth is the Lord's and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him." Psalm 24:1 (NLT)

Epic Church is a community that nurtures our identity as stewards of everything we have been given. When we give our resources, time, service, and talents, we do it out of love for the One who gave up everything for us. We invite you to give your tithes and offerings, sign up to volunteer at Epic and steward your life for God’s glory today.
